What is the heat unit in the Cayenne product?
Dr. Schulze’s Cayenne is a 250,000 heat unit.
Why isn’t there cayenne pepper in the pepper blend in the Cayenne product?
We have streamlined the ingredient list on our most recent Cayenne labels to account for routine tweaks and changes with each batch we create. Dr. Schulze uses a wide range of peppers in these formulas, but his focus is always on HEAT—with a finished product of at least 250,000HU (heat units) on the Scoville Scale. It’s the heat that supports circulation.
On the label, we now list the peppers under more generic and widely accepted names to account for these routine adjustments to the finished blend. With every harvest, the peppers’ heat can change due to the amount of rainfall or the time of year. Like grapes for wine production, there are many factors, and every vintage is slightly different. Dr. Schulze uses only the hottest peppers available that contain a bounty of capsaicin (the active phytochemical in peppers).
Although the types of peppers and their exact blend can fluctuate slightly with each batch, the finished product always meets Dr. Schulze’s highest quality standards of no less than 250,000HU (heat units). That’s what is most important and why his Cayenne formulas are like no other: to boost circulation throughout the body and promote health.
